FIBERGLASS REBAR
The Future of Reinforcing Concrete
Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer, is a composite material that has gained significant attention in the construction industry. It is made by reinforcing plastic resin with fine glass fibers, resulting in a lightweight yet durable material that combines the strength of glass fibers with the versatility of polymer resins. MIC fiberglass bars, mesh, and beam elements are key components in the construction industry, revolutionizing the way structures are built.
MIC Fiberglass Rebar offers several advantages over traditional construction materials, such as steel, like high strength, corrosion resistance, and design flexibility. It has found application in various structural elements, such as reinforcing bars, grids, panels, and profiles. With its exceptional properties, it is revolutionizing the way we build, providing sustainable and innovative solutions for a wide range of construction projects.
MIC Fiberglass Rebar is 4x lighter than steel rebar, 3x stronger, does not conduct heat, cold, or electricity, substantially reduces workplace injuries, takes half the time to install with half the personnel, requires no maintenance or repairs, and lasts longer than the concrete it reinforces. Governments are specifying it, and the world is beginning to realize that fiberglass rebar is a valuable solution.

The specially engineered and designed integral rib that mechanically locks the rebar into the concrete. Unlike other rebars (whether steel or GFRP), the only way to pull it out of the concrete is to break the concrete itself.

There are many benefits to the integral rib. Not only are there fewer cracks with smaller crack widths, but you can also avoid many of the traditional bent bar applications by using straight lengths of our rebar. These applications include but are not limited to joining slabs, joining walls to floors, corners, anchoring and reducing embedment lengths.
Fiberglass Rebar vs Steel Rebar
While effective in many environments, steel rebar can face challenges such as corrosion, especially in harsh conditions, which can lead to significant maintenance costs over time. MIC Fiberglass Rebar offers a modern alternative, designed to address these challenges directly. Its non-corrosive nature ensures it can outlive the concrete it reinforces, making it a highly reliable choice for any project. Our Fiberglass Rebar can save the current costs of corrosion and eliminate all failures due to corrosion because it will outlive the concrete it is reinforcing.
4x LIGHTER
Get 4x the amount of product on your trucks and save significantly on transportation costs. Our Fiberglass Rebar is also much easier to handle and use.

GREENER SOLUTIONS
The manufacturing process of our Fiberglass Rebar produces far less carbon emissions. Please ask about our EPD report.

LIFESPAN OF +100 YEARS
Our Fiberglass Rebar is designed to never corrode, which helps prevent spalling in concrete. With a lifespan of over 100 years it outlasts the concrete it reinforces.
NON-CORROSIVE + NON-CONDUCTIVE
MIC Fiberglass Rebar is non-corrosive and suitable to any environmental exposure. It does not conduct heat, cold, or electricity.
3x STRONGER IN TENSILE STRENGTH
With a tensile strength 3x of steel and a fatigue resistance 20x greater, Our Fiberglass Rebar is the trusted solution for any project.

SUPERIOR BOND STRENGTH
MIC Fiberglass Rebar provides a bond strength to concrete that is 3 times higher than typical alternatives. The only way to remove the bar is to break the concrete itself.

Structural Rebar
MIC Fiberglass Rebar is the only rebar that is an integrally ribbed maximum strength rebar. It is the only GFRP rebar that bonds to concrete better than steel, potentially leading to rust and spalling, thus offering a durable alternative.

Bent Bar
MIC Fiberglass Rebar Bent Rebar is manufactured with the highest grade of modified Vinyl-ester. Our glass fiber bent rebar has above 75% retention of strength at the bend portion (compared to the CSA S807 requirement of 45%) in comparison to the straight portion, with an extremely low coefficient of variation(<5%), this means the micro-fibers inside the bend are so well aligned- that they carry the load at the bend as intended.
MIC fiberglass bend rebar can bend into any shape, and is free of buckling, voids, easy to handle and prefabricates into the perfect bent shape that making it indistinguishable from steel, including 2D(along X,Y) and 3D(along X,Y,Z) and spiral(round or square). The minimum bend radius is 2.5 times the diameter of the bar.

Flatwork Rebar
MIC fiberglass rebar Grade I and Grade II are best-in-class GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rebar. Engineered for concrete flatwork, the non-structural rebar is manufactured with long-lasting Vinyl Ester Resin and corrosion-proof Glass to reinforce your concrete with a superior grade, code-approved product..
